
ROPE RESCUE TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2
Our 40-hour rope rescue technician level 2 course allows trainees to learn advance skills and knowledge, introduces trainees to more in-depth understanding of the different techniques used, instilling confidence when performing any rope rescue. We focus on making rescue as simple as possible without compromising on safety, ensuring an easy to learn course. It includes classroom and practical training, at the end of which a theory and practical assessment will be conducted to ensure trainees meet or exceed the required standards.
Course Content: Revision of RRT1 syllabus, anchoring methods, change of direction and angles, simple/compound/complex mechanical advantage systems, patient assessment, spinal management, basket attendant, stairwell litter lower, knot passing during lowering and hauling, self-rescue techniques, 2 track line traversing, Norwegian reeve and team based scenarios.
